Trojka is an easy mixer
Trojka’s an easy mixer where you don’t need many ingredients to mix an outrageously good drink. Quick and easy – but don’t take our word for it: place some ice in a glass, add a Trojka flavour of your choice and top up with a suitable mixing beverage. The variety of Trojka flavours covers all bases and has something for every palate. A dash of tart cranberry refined with sweet strawberry or tropical pineapple with a hint of lime? HISTORY
The story begins!
1994 finds DIWISA launching its first vodka and marking the start of a new era. Up to that point, the long-established company had garnered experience in successfully marketing partner brands. The time is now ripe for an own-brand vodka. Trojka is born.
The first liqueur – Trojka RED
The own-brand vodka is followed in 1995 by the first own-brand vodka liqueur: Trojka RED, the red liqueur with the taste of refreshing citrus fruits. Mixed with an energy drink, it becomes the trend-setting drink of its day. The Gummibärli, as the drink is called, is still a popular drink with many people today.
BLACK
BLACK is one of the first Trojka liqueurs alongside RED. Following the launch, the Trojka labels are also adapted for the first time.
Redesign
A major redesign is carried out. Until then, Trojka is filled into a standard bottle. The redesign gives Trojka its first own bottle shape.
The year of line extensions
Three new liqueurs launch in 2005: the relaunch of BLACK with the taste of freshly picked wild berries, BLUE with a refreshing ice-mint flavour, and CARAMEL for those with a sweet tooth.
Trojka GREEN
Fourteen years after Trojka’s initial launch, today’s bestseller Trojka GREEN is finally released. Trojka GREEN tastes of pomegranate, watermelon and a hint of lime.
Trojka PINK
The line extension enters round two. Trojka PINK, today’s export favourite, is added to the product family. Trojka PINK is fruity-sweet and tastes of strawberries and cranberries.
Trojka Energy × Street Parade
The Street Parade, currently the biggest techno party in the world, attracts just under a million participants. Trojka Energy is the main sponsor of the parade in 2010 and 2011, thus adding even more energy to the party.
Trojka ENERGY × BLUE BALLS
From 2011, Trojka Energy is the main sponsor for two years of what is, right now, the largest music festival in Central Switzerland and is held in Lucerne.
Ready to Drink
Trojka enters another segment and launches two products in the RTD (= Ready To Drink) category: Trojka GREEN and RED ICE find their place on the market. Ready -to- drink beverages are mixed drinks that can be drunk straight from the bottle/can.
YELLOW & PURPLE
Two new Trojka flavours, Trojka PURPLE and YELLOW, launch: two flavours destined to be a thing of the past – they no longer feature in the product line.
Six new products
2013 sees the launch of six new products: the RTD Trojka ICE PINK, Trojka COCONUT, Trojka GOLD, Trojka SNOW FREAK, Trojka WHITE CREAM and the Trojka CARNEVAL EDITION. A couple are still around today, only under a slightly different name. Trojka CARNEVAL, for example, is now called Trojka GREENCH. Even today, it is still often consumed at carnival as a “Fröschli”.
International market
In addition to Switzerland, Trojka is sold in various European countries and demand is growing. To this day, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria are still some of the countries with the best sales figures for Trojka.
Trojka GREENCH
The speed and ease with which a “Fröschli” can be mixed is evident with the CARNEVAL SPECIAL EDITION 2013 – a combination of Trojka GREEN and an extra note of peppermint. Infused with hot water, the “Fröschli” takes seconds to prepare. So the CARNEVAL EDITION was simply renamed Trojka GREENCH – a liqueur that’s still enjoyed today on cold winter days.
Trojka SAVAGE
The special line began with Trojka SNOW FREAK and Trojka GREENCH. Trojka $AVAGE adds another special edition to the 2017 line. However, there’s something that makes this flavour completely different from the other two: for the first time, the Trojka community is able to participate in its creation. This allows fans to decide what this special edition should look like, taste like and be called. Fans submit their ideas via social media, from which the in-house jury chooses its three favourites. These are then shared with the community for final approval. The winner is $AVAGE, a liqueur that tastes of passion fruit, limes and iced tea.
Trojka ENERGY × SCB
Trojka ENERGY becomes a partner of SCB. The partnership between Sportclub Bern and Trojka ENERGY remains firm to this day. Trojka ENERGY sponsors the SCB’s half-time competition four times a season for a period of several years. With a good dose of luck, at each of those games, spectators can win a trip to New York including an NHL match.
Trojka EINHORN
A limited edition is designed for Coop that’s entirely inspired by the current trend. The Trojka UNICORN EDITION is available only from Coop.
Trojka Redesign
2018 finds the brand being given a new design and brand identity. The Trojka Easy Mixer is created.
The Unseen Room
Also in 2018, Trojka Energy launches a series of parties in places where you don’t usually see them, such as a launderette, a landmark in the city of Lucerne and other crazy locations.
Trojka FLAMINGO
Following EINHORN, this fruity, fresh liqueur with the taste of grapefruit is the next trending liqueur in the Trojka range. This liqueur is also first created exclusively for Coop. FLAMINGO is now widely available as a wonderfully refreshing drink combination under the name FLEMON or FLAMINGO SPRITZ.
Trojka Z
Prior to the current fast-selling hard seltzer boom, Trojka launches a hard seltzer in 2018. However, the product is not as popular with consumers as it is today, so production is halted.
Trojka ALOHA
EINHORN and FLAMINGO are followed by pineapple. Trojka ALOHA tastes of beach, summer and sunshine or – specifically – pineapple, lime and a hint of vanilla. This flavour is on offer as a trendy flavour until 2024, but is then no longer expanded. Has it made room for a new flavour?
Trojka ICE
Launched in 2020, Trojka ICE is Trojka’s current RTD. ICE is simply vodka and LEMON and can be enjoyed ice-cold straight from the bottle or can.
In addition, the Trojka flavours can now be ordered in personalised form via the online shop drinkdirect.ch.
Trojka ICE Dose
The demand for events is very high after the COVID-19 pandemic. Trojka ICE is quick and easy to prepare – the perfect event drink, but in a bottle.
Alongside the Trojka ICE bottle, this trend-setting drink launches in a can in May 2022.
Trojka als Festivalpartner
Trojka can be found at (almost) all major festivals. Popular drinks include GREEN SODA, FLEMON and Vodka MATE. “No Trojka = No Festival” is our concept.
